Each drawer can support up to 300 lbs of evenly distributed weight, making it ideal for storing heavy gear such as firearms and other tactical tools. The top-load capacity for pickup models is 2,000 lbs evenly distributed. Tie-down rails are available as accessories to secure large gear on top of the secure storage system.
The Field Ranger system can come as a weather-proof unit, the ST2 Field Ranger AW. This is a standard offering for pickup trucks. However, the covered bed design is made with black, spray-coated drawer faces and OEM carpeted exterior with the option to select black spray-coating.
Absolutely! TruckVault systems are highly customizable. You can configure the size of drawers, locking mechanisms, finishes, and add accessories like foam inserts, dividers, or lighting to meet your specific professional requirements.
Most secure storage systems sit very close to the tailgate. Opening the drawer or reaching down to the Surveyor’s open cubbies is not an option for most hands. If the drawer did manage to open, a hand would likely not have enough clearance to reach into the unit.

The Field Ranger is a popular layout for professionals looking to carry a wide range of gear. Two shallow drawers are mounted next to one extra deep drawer to provide a range of storage capacity and organization. All Covered Bed Line units are designed for pick-ups with toppers and feature heavy-duty locks with Strike Guard® technology, full-length drawers, and a divider package that helps you organize your stored items efficiently. A top load capacity of 2,000 lbs. will ensure you will arrive safely with your cargo intact.
